WAY OUT WEST
Concert Poster-Digital Illustration
This custom concert poster was designed for WAY OUT WEST, a live music event held at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, featuring the legendary country band "Asleep at the Wheel". The event was part of a larger series hosted by an insurance company to welcome agents from across the United States and eight Latin American countries. The design embraces Austin’s signature funky, eclectic, and western charm, blending elements that represent the city’s unique character.

The illustration captures Austin’s funky, weird, and Western spirit, embodying the energy of the WAY OUT WEST concert. At its center, a vibrant, oversized guitar symbolizes Texas’ live music scene, adorned with western-inspired details that blend cowboy culture with psychedelic, surreal elements reflecting Austin’s eclectic vibe.

Surrounding the guitar, swirling desert landscapes, cacti, and flame-like shapes create movement and intensity, mirroring a live performance. The fiery reds, electric blues, and deep gold evoke honky-tonk neon signs and Texas sunsets. Bold, vintage-inspired typography enhances the nostalgic yet modern aesthetic, while hand-drawn textures and fluid shapes reinforce the city’s signature style.

More than just an event poster, this piece is a collectible artwork celebrating Austin’s legendary music culture, inviting guests from the USA and Latin America to experience its vibrant rhythm and spirit.
